StudiO A

Being built up from a former church sanctuary, Carpet Booth's Studio A was designed with the intention of making a record in every way possible. Some projects call to record with solid isolation - tracking instruments separately to focus on those specific sounds and performances. Other projects call for the band or ensemble to track together to capture the energy of the song. With either method, our Studio A is setup for both - a perfect blend of isolation and bleed depending on you and your producers' creative vision.

With the help of Bruce Keiser, a studio designer and acoustician, Studio A features 1 control room, 1 spacious live room, and 3 isolation booths with different, unique treatments. Our control room houses our Trident Dream 32-channel recording console amongst other quality outboard gear, our patchbays to route audio anywhere throughout our Studio A, several guitars and effect pedals for a variety of sounds and tones, and a beautifully designed and treated control room and Neumann monitoring system intended for recording and mixing.

Outside of these traditional recording spaces, we have other unique ways to capture sound sources such as our church baptismal, stairwells, lobby, and lounge.

Our live room is designed to sound incredible no matter where you are in the room - each spot has it's own unique characteristic. There are several acoustic gobos for isolation and absorption, several drum, percussion, amp, and keys options, and abundant routing options to accommodate any setup.
